Bush's flip-flopped slogan is "we stay till victory is accomplished". That sounds about right to someone who isn't that deep a thinker - I mean who wants to admit Iraq is an un-winnable failure? However if one thinks about the situation in Iraq how is it possible to succeed given Bush's standards? “An ally in the war on Terror”? Doubt it - most Iraqi's now hate our guts and would never side with an Ally of Israel. “We will stand down as Iraqi's stand up”. Thing is the American backed part of Iraq will never stand on its own (no American help). That means we are there forever – the problem is as long as America occupies Iraq there will be a vicious insurgency screwing up any progress. Bush’s goals are unatainable but no one wants to admit we have failed so the mess will continue for years. Can you say quagmire? What a fool Bush and the neo-cons have been.
