That's a good piece, quite accurate on major and minor points imho .... most important being that Amlo has for the time being blown it, shamed the left with his frenzied little compulsion ... but the last paragraph is worth reading three times - Calderón is under pressure to perform, and his course will be no easier than was that of Fox, power is so split up, there will be lots of 'strange bedfellows', resulting in stuff you just shake your head at
'Mexico will once again be considered politically safe' - no one i know ever thought otherwise [reflect that Amlo would have been as hampered as is FC, plus he had promises out that would be considered 'rightist', just as FC has some that are 'leftist' ... six of one, half dozen of the other, to large extent imho] ... still, safety is only a relative thing - nowhere on the planet do miners get away scot free doing what they want at a price they can themselves name ... even in these three NA countries there can be extreme opposition - just ask me, a british columbian, about the NDP, lol
mmgg - but i think we're alright here, as 'safe' as anywhere providing that management treats their neighbours reasonably, and they know that very well .... nice uptick today, but only five per cent, everybody must have scanned the thread list and tuned into koan's bwr.to -g- ... zinc bid an hair shy of 1.86, brings to mind two words eh, yee and haw |
