Dear Drjohn:

You better look again as any 1066 FSB Intel CPU can't use more than 533MHz DDR2 whether its Yonah or Merom. So memory speed is to the advantage to the superior ODMC of Turions. To use 667MHz DDR2 with a Intel CPU, you would have to shoe horn a Woodcrest into a notebook. And then the battery life would be in the single digit tenths of an hour. With the expensive Intel CPUs, they likely couldn't put more than 512MB of the slower stuff without pricing the notebook out of range of the Turion.

All it shows is that Intel is overpriced and under performs. What else is new?

Pete
