Options expiry is over, and Shorts have to cover. It is a situation that occurs quite frequently with AMD. Exactly the same thing happened in Q-3 last year, and the numbers were nearly exact. 24 down to 21, right at the open on numbers that beat estimates.

Why people don't complain about manipulation on the way up, because that's is just human nature, just like greed and fear are human nature. People sell when they are losing money, and hold when they are making money, also not rocket science, but that's why selling takes a stock down faster than buying takes it up. Hence the bias for destroying value leans to the fear element, and the panic sellers instincts.

I would say the manipulation on the way up occurs often, watch CNBC, especially Cramer's show. He did AMD when it was on its way to 40 if you recall.

Feel free to take advantage of the slide show, then you may understand and benefit. If you don't then you will continue to be clueless.
