The upcoming R600 GPU due in Q1 07 should easily surpass the 500-gigaflop mark. The NVIDIA 8800GTX due next month may beat it as well. The current X1950 XTX is rated at 375 gigaflops, and the fastest R600-based video card should perform at least 50% better than the X1950 XTX.
