Look at the chart for the US. It follows the same downward slide as Hubbert's theory from the 1950s. It buys time but the theory is so far proving to be remarkably accurate.

And, yes, if tobacco was a fossil plant made over millions of years it would look like peak oil.

Totally unconvincing especially as Hubbert's theory looks amazing given that it's 50 years old.
