I don't understand what your talking about.

Bush supports certain ideas. The Religious Right supports certain ideas. The sets overlap, arguably to a large degree. Because of the overlap the Religious Right campaigns for Bush. Bush continues to support his ideas, including those supported by the religious rights. I don't know what favors you are talking about.

(2) Bush is widely quoted as never being "out-Christianed" again. He is a Yale graduate from a rich family and yet he play acts the redneck man of the people. I find this morally bankrupt and it is on par with the Saudi royals who act Islamic and drink like fish and womanize away from the public.

Most presidential candidates and presidents in modern times are wealthy and well educated, but they often portray themselves as men "of the people". I don't really find that all that objectionable. Certainly it isn't new or unusual, and it doesn't resemble the hypocrisy of the Saudi royals, who are directly violating moral and legal codes that they impose on others.
