4-UR-Eyes-Only, and ATT knows this as well as you and I. Thats why they're in a hurry; they have got to something soon before GTE runs up in price or BT makes its move. This could turn into a bidding war. I can't imagine why the Funds haven't figured this out yet and moved into GTE in a big way. But maybe those guys aren't as smart as we like to beleive.
