Unfortunately for my gas stocks, I don't think that's true.

Of the hottest 11 years on record since 1880, 9 of them have occurred since 1996.

Clearly, climate trends have changed. For any given year, you can no longer expect a 120-year-average winter. Winter temperatures are no longer randomly distributed based on 120 years of data.

And up to mid-summer, 2006 is the warmest year yet.
