<< Craig, I love your sarcasm on the ASND-News Only thread. :-)) >>

I wasn't kidding, the Barron's article is great news.

It was decidely negative and one-sided. The piece from thestreet.com was pretty negative as well. I'm referring to the part about the guy that was buying A$ND on weakness but gave up and turned around and sold his position after the conference. Even Cramer has given up on trading A$ND. Cowen has put the absolute worst spin on any positive news that comes out. People are so upset with analysts that they are sending emails to them. Tim Luke and Paul Blakeslee won't touch the stock. Everyone is calling A$ND "descend". There is bickering and arguing on the thread. There have been more than 10 downgrades or estimate revisions recently. When people are asked in interviews what networking stocks they like (whether on CNBC or elsewhere) I always here C$CO, BAY, COMS, NN. I almost never hear anyone come out and say "We love A$ND at these prices and are buying boatloads".

NOBODY WANTS TO TOUCH A$ND!

Now Barron's comes out with the most ridiculous piece I have ever read. I especially liked the part about the 170,000 port correction. The author tried to make it sound like a big deal. Any IDIOT who actually thought that A$ND was selling 170,000 MAX TNT switches needs to have their head examined. That would have been a multi-billion dollar order and it would have been cheaper for UUNET to buy the whole company. That article was so negatively-biased it was laughable.

Barron's is a fine publication but sometimes they can be so ridiculous that it's funny. Everyone knows that when Barron's writes a scathing piece like the one about A$ND it's very close to the bottom.

Go check out Cramer's site, thestreet.com. Somewhere in the truth serum pieces there is a situation where Cramer called the exact bottom in the market. One of the reasons he cited was Barron's had an extremely bearish cover story about the market. Cramer loves to go on and on about how he buys when Barron's and Business Week are scaring people.

That's exactly what this is. I'm going to save that Barron's article and when A$ND explodes off the bottom and climbs to triple digits I'm going to contact that author and laugh at him. I'm going to spread his foolish piece all over SI and sit back and laugh.
