I've seen some positive Cantwell ads out here. I don't watch much TV, but the republican ads I have seen have been deceptive and negative.

Principles that I believe in that I feel are democratic party principles are:

1. fair trade policy, not trade policy that is skewed to only benefit multinational corporations.

2. separation of powers

3. fair and transparent elections

4. that the US should be a moral beacon for the rest of the world, by following international conventions such as the Geneva convention, the right of habeas corpus, etc.

5. protection of the environment

6. that war should be engaged in only as a last resort, not preemptively.

7. the principle of democracy

There are more, but these few come to mind at the moment.
