I think that the Liberal Faction in North America sees Islam as a kind of exotic and benevolent philosophy from the East. Once they decide that the women of Islam draped like walking coffins are not more liberated but in reality simple chattels of a pre feudal religion, Islam is in for an incredible shock. Liberals are not nearly as patient as Conservatives when it comes to religious wackos curtailing other people's rights. Conservatives have plenty of experience with the religious community and some of it's how would one say... peculiarities. As long as Liberals assume that Muslims are not killing anyone important, just Jews and Muslims they are fine, when they start killing Liberals or curtailing the freedom of the people on the Liberals list, Islam is toast.
