"Transporting water in bottles is a waste of precious resources imo. We should stick to digging and filling in holes in the ground."

In the part of Canada I live in we don't treat our water with fluoride. The main argument in other parts of Canada that do treat their water is bottled water does not have fluoride and people drinking it have higher dental bills.

We transport scotch and beer half way around the globe which takes a lot of water to brew and make. I don't see why water is such a precious exception.

Digging and filling up holes still costs money that someone actually producing a product has to pay for by way of government imposed taxes. Is this what our economy will come to after exporting manufacturing to Asian and South American countries? If so we get what we deserve.
