MIKE, regarding prefixes...

I have seen these kind of recommendations
on other threads and although it would be
great to be able to organize messages left
here in such a manner the number of folks
on this thread is not static - it is dynamic
with individuals coming and going on a
daily basis.
So - your asking for those who do not spend
enough time on this thread as we do to under-
stand, and abide by, any agreements we come
to. How would they get the info on the format?
I have yet to see it work. Doesn't mean it
can't just that it is difficult, at best, to
organize a group as large & chaotic as the
number of individuals on SI/the Internet.
Awhile back we instituted the double thread
scenario where chat would be on the "Charts
With An Attitude; Trading In & Out" and the
meat/fundementals of the requests and/or Doug's
responses would be reserved for The 56 Point TA;
Charts With an Attitude thread. That, I think,
has worked to some degree. I know I "try" to
honor it when I can. I would be in favor of the
The 56 Point TA; Charts With an Attitude thread
being reserved just for Doug and the immediate
56 gang of anaylsts.
I have thought, from time to time, about how
difficult it would be to institute a quick
secondary signon for these threads where a person
would be presented with a opening screen explaining
the purpose of this group and be able to agree and
then go on. Being in this tech field I don't think
it would be too, too difficult to do. But may not
be allowed here...
I like the recommendation...I just thought I'ld
put out some of my thoughts on the praticality
of it all.
I do believe that all stock related messages
should be preceded by the symbol at the very
least.
