CYBERKEN voted today at a local grocery store. His House district has a "safe seat" Clinton-sucking liberal Democrat, who's obviously also been "yaller dawged", so it's not in play. Such safe-seating gets the Republicans the state's other two seats without much investment or trouble.

But the Republican being sacrificed was in the parking lot (over 100 feet from the polls) and had the privilege of having CYBERKEN shake his hand and wish him good luck.

He responded, "I'm gettin' slaughtered out here." CYBERKEN looked around and there was NO ONE there but CYBERKEN and the yaller dawg. OK, never mind.

But he did give me his pitch. It was "they are stealing our Social Security, etc., etc.". This guy is a little obtuse, even for CYBERKEN, who made the mistake of saying, "Oh, you mean the immigrants?" To which he protested vehemently "they" cannot be called immigrants. Guess "they" will have to suffice.

CYBERKEN, however, went in and voted for the poor slob anyway. The Hispanic issue is certainly not one CYBERKEN has refused to hold forth on, to the irritation of pants-wetting thread monitors all over SI.

But the yaller dawg is running against a Clinton-sucking liberal Democrat.

And THAT is over-riding. And there's nothing you can do about it...
