It appears Symetrix is working with Motorola on smart cards and is using Matsushita (Panasonic) as its FRAM supplier.

Because of this established link, it suggests Symetrix would also be working with Motorola on its FRAM for cell phones. This point remains unclear.

The article Barb referenced suggests Motorola would be manufacturing its own FRAM, thus a license would be forthcoming. Who will get it? That is the question. Could Motorola be one license in Gummy Bear's Model? Stay Tuned!

Oh yes, the article also suggest Racom could be a player in Motorola's attempt at RF circuitry--Just a guess.

Now that Rohm is shipping samples, I think the next big news coming out of Ramtron, putting the Hitachi 256K FRAM aside for a moment, should be capturing a large smart card maker. I'm just following the natural progression of building out a business Folks. This is one element left out of Gummy Bear's 5 key events! Of course, I assume his reference to a smart card win is Cubic. I'm think of someone else, I don't know who, but you heard it here first!
