If you strip out 2% of GDP that is pure fiction (imputations and hedonics) we are probably starting a recession right now.

Ain't gonna happen without higher rates.

It is improbable to have a recession without BUSINESS INVESTMENT contracting and that's not going to happen in a significant way -- not after 6 years of virtual stagnation in business spending.


IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW
Business investment is irrelelvant compared to consumer spending.
Besides Business investment is slowing. Take a look at Amazon, Walmart, INTC etc etc. Take a look at Tech mass layoffs.
