Technical analysis for many years were defined by female technicians famous on Wall street as overbought and oversold. That tells people the market makers have stock pool or has heavy short interests. They abandoned trends by extending curves on charts. Some famous charters, just draw a horizontal line above or below the peaks and valleys of a curve in any chart. When you see a curve, you see them all.

The definition of a market makers' signature on a curve is only the decision he makes to buy and sell short interests for a profit. So, some times it explains the condition when good news forced a pull back even severe at times.

The human greed factor is in the daily charts. Opening at the bell tells the investors' sentiment. Then by 10 am all the buying is over. The rest of the day, market makers buy back the borrowed stock. If market makers move the stock if will be elliot waves or mini=elliot waves. Some of the stocks I cover, the market makers made some moves. Eventually, they all will move when economy recovers from softlanding.

The truth is every share of stock is already owned. You can only buy borrowed stock if you want it immediately.

When I talked to a specialist(NYSE), any stock I want may take a month before he can sell me the stock his customer is willing to part at a price he believes will happen in a month for longterm investments.

Good luck, if you invest as a daytrader. Investor sentiments is the way to happiness and life fulfillment, but cash is king. Each trade must end quickly back into cash.
