A trip to Mallorca for a German is no more culturally enlightening than a trip to Florida for an American.

I guess we will agree to disagree. The German in Majorca will encounter a different language, vastly different culture and way of life (Island Spaniard's "ma ana attitude"-V-Germain efficiency and passion for punctuality),vastly different food and methods of preparation of foods.

The American in Florida may find a different accent and perhaps, if he is from a big city like N.Y., a slower pace but everything else is the same. The same familiar, McDonalds, Berger king, motel 6, etc. Same food, same language, same culture. same everything.

Anyway, I think we have beat this subject to death.

regards

Ray
