"crossbow maker"... sounds like a real man... -g Over the years I have met many German immigrants who came to the US as young guys - kids, really - in the 1920's and 30's -- and just a few years later were in Europe with the US military, fighting against the Nazis. Very admirable. For that, one really had to have his values and priorities straight. "How do you feel about killing your own people?" I also noticed this. So, who would be those whom his parents consider to be "his" people? Zarqawi and his crew? Taliban? Anyway, from the context of the article it appears that this young man never did enlist, after all....
