The situation in Oaxaca is rather interesting. It started out as a teacher strike, and though the teachers have gone back to work it morphed into a kind of general protest. Then the corrupt police were foolish enough to shoot some people, so the pres has sent in the (we hope less corrupt) federal police to try to calm everyone down. I will always defer to Marcos on matters of Mexican politics, but IMO this is nothing to worry about. LC
