Good letters. I'm glad someone took the time to question the reasoning for his downgrades that are based on hearsay and lack of technical understanding of a product line (ASND and CSCO). We have seen so-called engineering sheltered types spam the threads (especially Cisco<g>) with dis-information in the past. When those who can move markets do it, it is time to step in, thanks.
Now lets take a look at his reply:

Why don't we start at the beginning of this relationship? Who are you?
You signed the letter, no? Is your concern any less valid if it is comming from a member of his own firm or a homeless person? Not in this case. Not a good start for the "highly credentialed" Mr. Johnson. So much for credentials. ;-)

And why should I care what you think?
Way to go Paul! Thats public relations at its best!

Are you a paying client of this firm?
Hmmm, makes you wonder what this guy's agenda really is.....making money for himself and his clients (more for him)....with perhaps questionable downgrades?

How did you get my comments?
Ah-ha! Note he said "my comments", and not "those comments", or "false comments". We have verification that the comments where indeed true. I cannot beleive that someone on this thread would actually implied they were not true by asking for a URL, when the Mr. Johnson already fessed up, as quoted in the posted letter.

The stock has been straight-up since I down-graded the stock.
Paul, you forgot the big dip that allowed the smart/informed investors to scarf up those cheap shares being dumped on the market because of bad press. Now it is up for those who bought low to profit.

My impact is minor
Care to back that up with some numbers?

if not negative.
And I was born yesterday!

I am not so sure that you should be that worried about what I have to say.
Now back to Glenn's orignal questions, of which none have been answered.
