"In Florida, Nelson Shuts Out Harris

"There are 22 daily newspapers in Florida. All 22 have endorsed Bill Nelson," according to the Palm Beach Post.

In CT-5, Challenger Moves Into Lead

A new Hartford Courant/UConn poll shows Chris Murphy (D) slightly ahead of Rep. Nancy Johnson (R-CT) in Connecticut's 5th congressional district, 46% to 42% with 9% still undecided.

Said pollster Monika McDermott: "These results paint a picture of a very vulnerable incumbent. Likely voters aren't happy with Johnson's performance, and they say they're ready for a change."

In WI-8, Race is a Dead Heat

In Wisconsin's 8th congressional district, a new St. Norbert College poll shows John Gard (R) and Steve Kagen (D) "matched in a statistical dead heat at 43 percent each."

The seat is currently held by Rep. Mark Green (R-WI) who is running for governor.

Said pollster Wendy Scattergood: "When you take into account the people who are not sure but are going to vote, it can be all up to Election Day to find out how this is going to come out. What I would say to the 8th Congressional District voters is: If you care about this race, you need to get out there and vote no matter what. With it being this close, every vote is going to matter."

Deadlocked in IL-6

A new Daily Herald/ABC7 poll finds dead heats in two predominantly Republican Illinois districts.

In IL-6, the seat being vacated by Rep. Henry Hyrd (R-IL), Peter Roskam (R) holds a narrow but statistically insigificant lead Tammy Duckworth (D), 46% to 42%."
