Air American is strong and growing, though it's never had any corporate or deep-pockets investors, so it got off to a shaky start due to under-capitalization. Have you even listened to it? It's definitely more entertaining than rightwing radio. And don't let the bankrupcy fool you. That was a technicality to consolidate old debts they ran up getting started. It hasn't impacted their programming whatsoever.

Al Franken is one of the strongest broadcasters in the US. One reason investors have not stepped forward is that AL may be leaving to either run for senate (and he'll win) or host his own primetime network show - the liberal version of Bill O'Reilly. And btw, O'Reilly is terrified of Franken. If those two ever debated Franken would kick Bill's ass becausae he sticks to the facts and can back it up, and also knows how to use humor and sarcasm as friendly weapons.

Stephanie Miller is also very strong, the beautiful razor-smart daughter of Goldwater's running mate in 1964, she is hilarious, very entertaining and really kicks butt. She was recently on Larry King and looked like a big star in the making.

Others who are very impressive are Randi Rhodes and that lesbian looking gal who used to co-host with Tucker Carlson, what's her name. She's smart as a whip too.

Unlike the rightwing talkers, Air America is not subsidized by a giant media conglomerate, they are a small indie. That is their only problem. And no, George Soros has not supported them. That's a lie.

Ed Schultz also kicks ass and is gaining more and more popularity. He could beat Limbaugh and Hannity any day of the week if he'd just get corporate support to get into more markets. The real scandal in radio is that the big conglomerates are rightwing only clubs, and that's wrong and un-American, especially since 2/3rds of the country now disagree with the rightwing. Even ehre in liberal LA we have almost nothjing but rightwing blowhards repeating the same RNC talking points over and over. It's very boring and people are tuning out.
