The above from the article on big oil, and how they are going to morph into oil service companies - a point which I think is well taken.

Now on the above. Is it just me, or is 90% of the nation functionally illiterate when it coe to science. Fuel cells which run on natural gas and propane.

You know what comes next....from where will the NG and propane come???

They just don't get it.

Yes, fuel cells combust more cleanly - mostly because you have to go through expensive, energy intensive steps to get the sulphur out - and also because you aren't burning at high temps which lead to the nitrogen compounds.

I haven't seen any analysis, but I would not be surprised to find that fuel cells are less efficient end to end, then conventional internal combustion engines.

Regardless, the question of the source of NG has not been addressed.
