690 of those blades wound up in my area. They take them off the rail cars and load them one to a truck that has a driver in front and another in the rear. The bases for the towers are 20' across and 15' deep, reinforced concrete. The blades are attached to the heads on the ground and are lifted by a 400 ton crane. 2 operators for the crane because it's cheaper to have a second operator on hand than have any down time. Land owner gets $6k a year per tower.
