Most good authors spend significant time researching and developing multiple characters. In fictions works they may draw from one book from and aboriginal culture, and possibly from cultural ghetto in a metropolitan area their next novel.

Webb apparently repeatedly used female characters in demeaning, degrading and submissive roles. This does not sound so much like character development as an expression of his inner feelings about women. Maybe he is just a really good fiction writer. Is Senator the job he should be given on a bet?
