It was given to CNN because they (CNN) agreed to give them a "fair shake".

Reminiscent of ABC (?) reporters agreeing to not report negative news about Saddam several years ago.

As Rush Limbaugh said yesterday if the Generals had gone to CNN with a positive video tape of events in Iraq they would not have shown it because it was either untrue or biased.
