What is ironic about Hussman’s “money flow” article is that is was followed a few months later by an article denying the appropriateness of the efficient market hypothesis – largely on the basis of private information, i.e. knowledge is tacit and distributed. He then goes on to list a few of his favorite trading signals. The irony is that Hussman invokes a perfect knowledge framework to shoot down one concept and while denying the same framework to endorse other concepts.
