If you're talking about the Wolf Blitzer interview, he read her the Dem statement during that interview. That's the first time I can find her saying anything. Webb had brought her book up in response to the OCt 27th accusation by Allen against him while he was doing doing an interview. I can't find anything that has her "entering the fray" until the Blitzer interview. (If she did it before Webb brought her book up, then all bets are off, of course.) But the whole thing is ludicrous, and I was awfully sorry that Webb didn't just stop, as you said, with "I;m a serious writer." The same way Rush should have stopped with some facts about stemcell rather than going after Fox personally. The same way..... ad infinitum, it seems.
