Emile, I will be buying alot of ascend on monday... Is this wise????? I think so. first and foremost I had one of my revelations on ascend. these have never been wrong since it comes from a power higher than me. So, all this natural stuff nothing. I've purchsed maybe $300,000 worth of their prodcuts in last 5 yrs and never been disappointed. I'll be buying another ascend box for my ISDN next month. ascend got a big recco on thursday: NEW YORK, Sept 25 (Reuter) - SBC Warburg Dillon Read raised its rating for Ascend Communications Inc to a buy from an outperform, the Wall Street firm said on Thursday. -- The change is based partly on valuation and on Thursday's reported deal to sell equipment to UUNET Technologies. -- The stock likely is close to bottom and investors with some caution should begin to build back their position, Warburg Dillon said in a research note. -- The 1997 EPS estimate is $1.24 per share, while for 1998 it is $1.79. -- Ascend was up 14/16 to 37-7/16 in early afternoon trading. also, evern securities reitirated their 2-1 rating on friday 6 month target was 53 and 18 mo target is 67. Networking, remote communication and internet will continue to play heavily in Info. systems spending. Most systems groups have been able to negoiate their telecom expenses down 30-40% in discounts on long distance and local charges. they are spending those savings on network ,ISDN, remote comm. and internet.
