It has occurred to me in the last day or two that if there is a world-wide energy crisis, and if too much uranium gets tied up in funds, and just held off the market, there could be international cooperation between governments to make the private ownership of uranium illegal. That would be more understandable than making ownership of gold illegal, as happened in the United states.

But I don't think govenrments would want to nationalize uranium mining because to do that would tend to stifle exploration and production.

The Homestake Gold Mine was the most fabulously profitable investment in the 1930s.
