No. I am saying the president has been hired by the people to manage the country. When he skips work to support his party, he is in dereliction of his duties. The only support that he can legitimately give, is to do a good job so his party gets reelected...he can also make some endorsing statements for his party members. But he should not be allowed to abandon his duties so he can raise funds for his buddies. Would you allow your staff to take paid time off work to help their friends? And at whim too?
