Come on Tench, that is a pretty dumb statement. It does matter. True, Kerry was lucky. Often what happens in a situation like that is the rich ones move in a different orbit from the others. Happened in my family. The money wasn't quite the same scale, but one of my cousins married a man whose family owns a large chain of barbeque restaurants. Her siblings are still career military, farmers, post office workers, etc. And their children didn't go to fancy schools or even college, except what they paid for themselves...
