Bush abandons US soldier in Iraq, bows to al Sadr and removes troops from Sadr City giving up on trying to prevent the kidnapped soldier from being taken away.

Gee.

Kerry botches joke.

Gee.

Republikans think it's perfectly ok for Bush to abandon a soldier AND for Rumsfeld to admit that Iraq needs more troops which the US taxpayer will have to pay for since Iraq doesn't have the funds AND for Maliki to choose sides since he no longer thinks Iraq can be held together. THOSE ARE THE REAL STAKES.

The REAL STAKES are less important to Republikans than Kerry botching a joke.

"If you make an effort to be smart, you can do well," he said. "If you don't, [WE] get stuck in Iraq."

That's the joke. Kerry told that joke badly. Whoopdeedoo. This is the depths to which Republikans have sunk.

No wonder Republikans are overseeing the disintegration of Iraq.
