While we all wait for John Kerry to twist in the wind for a day or two, I am still far more concerned about what is going on in Iraq with al Sadr's seeming control over the Prime Minister. Today's action by the PM in taking the cork out of the bottle that is Sadr City almost certainly will not end up well.

As a couple of weeks ago when the militias basically took over a city, then withdrew, testing their muscles and their influence....now we see it in another way.

I wonder what the debate was within our military leadership there about how to handle the PM's request (demand?). If we didn't do as he asked.....what would the official reaction of the government have been?

Kerry may be proving again why he is the guy who can't get elected President, but recent events in Sadr Ciy are truly more relevant....

Or maybe it will all just end well...
