I am not totally sure here...but convictions are public records. Being arrested is not necessarily a dark mark, as innocent people are arrested...charges later dropped or person found not guilty of whatever charge.

If he was being bonded, he probably would have to reveal any arrests....likewise on his bar application. But as far as other disclosures I suspect it varies from jurisdiction to jurisdiction.

Also, felony or misdemeanor could make a big difference.
