Homeland Security Group Unveils New Combat Lifesaver Equipment for US Marines and US Army
New Combat Trauma System to Be Tested During Upcoming Mojave Viper Exercise
SAN DIEGO, CA--(MARKET WIRE)--Nov 1, 2006 -- Homeland Security Group International (Other OTC:HMSG.PK - News) announced today that its Products Division, working in conjunction with its Joint Venture Partner, Recon Mountaineer, has introduced the newest entry in its line of combat lifesaver products designed for US Navy Corpsmen and US Army Medics. The Combat Trauma System Suite or CTS-V1 is a three bag enhanced system for the Combat Trauma Bag (USMC/Navy) which has been battle tested in Iraq and Afghanistan and is extensively used by US Army and US Navy combat medics. The CTS-V1 is constructed of 420-500 Hybrid Denier Cordura and was designed to meet or exceed all the demands of field medical combat lifesaver professionals. The versatility and construction of the new CTS-V1 three bag system helps to increase the efficiency of first responder/combat lifesaver when assessing and treating casualties. The CTS-V1 provides a system that ensures the right amount and type of equipment is carried and utilized.
"The new system was designed from lessons learned in combat. US Military Combat Lifesavers and first responders have been using various bags to assist them in immediate care and triage of casualties and then other bags for carrying restock items for re-supply after the dust settles," commented Recon Mountaineer President and Chief Designer Donald "Mack" Mylnek. "Recon Mountaineer is proud for the opportunity to support our brave warriors in all environments and thanks them for their sacrifices and selfless devotion to duty."
The new system was designed to meet many challenges that medics face everyday. Accommodating the main function of the current Combat Trauma Bag (CTB/TC3), the CLS-V1 uses pre-loaded medical gear inserts to eliminate the need for digging through a bag to find the proper equipment. The system also enhances re-supply time and helps track the use of medical supplies.
The three bag system features include One CTB-V3, sling carried Combat Lifesaver Bag with insert, One CTS-V1 Restock Bag, Three CTB restock inserts to accommodate the CTB-V3 or TC3-V1 (NSN: 6545-01-537-0686), a Leg Rig consisting of three expedient inserts and pistol holster and the bottom of the CTS-V1 Re-stock bag holds five 1000 milliliter IV solution bags while the top of the bag has three large mesh compartments for organizing more sensitive items.
The new system will be used extensively and tested by US Navy Corpsmen during an upcoming Mojave Viper training exercise at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, California. The Mojave Viper exercise carries a unit through a 24-day schedule that pushes them through a 14-day Combined Arms Training exercise, a seven-day Urban Warfare Training exercise and a three-day Final Exercise prior to deploying to combat duty.
"The Mojave Viper exercise is probably the most comprehensive training event that units complete prior to deployment," commented Colonel Jeffrey Powers, USMC (Ret), CEO of Homeland Security Group International. "Mojave Viper integrates all war fighting functions of fire and maneuver, command and control, intelligence, logistics and force protection. Marines and Corpsmen will be putting our CLS-V1 bag through it paces in every aspect of casualty care during the exercise."
