Bartlett is a perfect example of an unprincipled slob who passes as a principled slob. The New American Renaissance, the war with subhuman Islam, the benefits of reduced taxes on capital formation, are elephants in the room of the entire conservative movement. But Bartlett has always been about one thing: Spending. Spending. Spending.

Bush was in office for about 5 minutes when Bartlett had decided he'd BEEN PATIENT LONG ENOUGH BY GOD!

Not that the spending issues are illegitimate, but the Johnny-One-Note on that one minor matter is what turns the weak-minded among conservatives into worthless populists.

Bruce Bartlett fell over that cliff earlier than most, and now can't get up again...
