This is a problem, because with 6 percent of world population, we consume 25% of world oil production, and our thirst for oil increases every year

That 6% of world population also creates 25% of the worlds wealth.

If anything, we are a model for the world to copy...not something to despise.

You are dangerously close to the "Hate America First" viewpoint here.
