What a day, with Them whacking the income trusts, i've been trying to talk to people about real-life business and they're completely pre-occupied with these paltry billions being stripped from their retirement stash ... sure glad i never got very involved in that sector, although over the last five years or so it was a big winner, even if you dumped on the lows today, in most cases ... and they'll bounce from wherever they get to, existing ones have four years and even after that they'll be profitable, just taxed is all
Consumption taxes are the way to go ... put a twelve per cent GST on all non-food g&s, say forty per cent on all carbon fuels, and eliminate income taxes, both personal and corporate
cmm.v - yes i was thinking that, possible trend reversal yesterday .... quite likely a lot of people like myself wondering whether to 1. dump the dog, or 2. add shares to bring the acb down, then grin and bear it .... i decided not to dump since most if not all the damage was already done, at a .70s shareprice, and i had no cash to average down, so opted for choice 3. do nothing and try not to think about it ... Century is probably a good buy here, but Metalline is a better one, imho
