Bushies are hoping voters are very stupid. Actually their use of a botched joke, pretending it was an intentional statement, is a real insult to the intelligence of the country, and the military.

Can you imagine of Democrats were running around taking Bush's gaffes literally? They'd be mocked as total phonies.
