Full Story: biz.yahoo.com "The Associated Press reports: Shares of Canadian income trusts plummeted on the New York Stock Exchange Wednesday, after Canada's finance minister announced a plan to eliminate trusts' favorable tax status. After the market closed Tuesday, Canadian Finance Minister Jim Flaherty announced government plans to change the tax structure of publicly traded income trusts and limited partnerships. The changes would render those companies' tax structure akin to those of corporations." Comment: The plan still has to be voted.
