Solar roofing shingles, or systems developed as roof coverings, all over America would be a wonderful thing. I'll bet we could do this on every house in America for what we're blowing in Iraq. The E is generated right where it will be used, but if it isn't needed, it goes into the grid. None at night, but that could be gotten around by having the excess pump water during the day that would run turbines at night.
