I have stated in the past that I am not for John Kerry or even Hillary as the Democratic Presidential nominee for 2008. However, what he said is in the minds of most of us, I would presume. When you list of those who have died in Iraq, they are in the age ranges of 18 to 24 mostly. Now, you could not possibly have a good education for such young volunteers. There are scores of instances where military recruiters are luring high school seniors to join the military "even before they finish high school." The recruiters are promising then that when they get back, the GI bill will pay for them to go finish school and college. And guess what, these "kids" (I say so because of their age) end up returning in body bags.

For students who get "A" grades in school, get summer internships in Wall Street financial management firms paying them much more than the military does. These are cold hard facts. Kerry was bold enough to say it when others want to sweep it under the rug.

Furthermore, we all know what Kerry's prepared text said. He as always, decided to veer off the prepared text, like Bush does sometimes. And when they do so, they both end up becoming a target of late night talks shows. In this case, he has become a target of the Republican White House and Mr. Mehelman. because it is the political season and the Republicans are trying to hang to to any straw they can find.

Did you watch Congressman Ford on CNN yesterday. FOX News id frothing all over the mouth about Kerry's remark. They keep mentioning Ford asking Kerry to apologize. But after Kerry apologized, FOX News needs to show their gall by inviting Ford on their shows. They haven't. Instead CNN got a leg up on FOX by inviting him.
