TDAmeritrade - the problem..............

TDA is still in transition from the TDWaterhouse - Ameritrade merger. The old accounts that Waterhouse acquired from RJThompson, along with their own original TDW accounts, run through ADP's clearing operation which may very well have corruption, NSS, F-T-D, and other issues with the MFMMMs, Hedgies, Offshores, and the flaming POS DTCC.

Old original Ameritrade accounts and newly hatched TDAmeritrade accounts run through TDA's own clearing operation in Omaha - wholly apart from any association with ADP, etc.

TDWaterdouse/ADP have well over 350 penny and other stocks blocked from online trading. TDA only has about 48 crappers like MLON, blocked from online trading and requiring call-ins/approvals.

Over the next several months, all the old TDW accounts will be migrated to the TDA trading and clearing platform in Omaha - and the blocks/call-in requirements on PLNI, CHI, etc., will go away - as they do not now exist on that side of the house. Opening a new, "..TDAmeritrade.." account and migrating your old TDW account holdings into it will solve the problem in the meantime; you should leave something in your old TDW account to keep it open and your old trading records available.

John :-)
