You really think that an all out war engulfing the entire mideast would be a "good" thing? Especially with at least two nations in the region being nuclear powers, or on the verge thereof? And you don't think some of the former Soviet states would sell existing weapons to participants?

Arrghh. I can see how such a huge war, with so may differentiated sides, could easily turn into another world war.
