Your argument is baseless. You're comparing a high margin computer store against ALL OTHER RETAIL STORES (on average) and saying apple's profits are unheard of.

Try comparing an apple store with a jewelry store and let us know how the figures work out. Compared to the average 500% markup on diamonds, apple looks positively rotten.

If you compare apple against all retail, which mainly includes clothing, housewares, and food (in a typical mall) then of course you're going to show apple as having higher profit margins than the average.

Why dont you try comparing apple to other high profit margin stores individually? to do anything else would be intellectually dishonest.

But hey- i know that comes with being an apple cult member.

The number show that the Apple retail stores are making profits that other retailers would kill for. Unheard of figures for dollars per square foot. So whatever it is that is bringing people in, somebody obviously is buying.
