Certainly it's just as funny as any of the partisan cracks Bush makes about Democrats. In other words, to an audience of people who agree with the speaker, it is somewhat funny.

Wouldn't call it a knee-slapper in any case. I've heard better political jokes.

However, the fact that you nor any other of the people on this thread who are predisposed to dislike Kerry and everything he says do not find this particular joke funny doesn't mean that it wasn't originally written that way.

I must say you guys are really excited about this particular gaffe. It's as if it were actually important in some way. Sure beats talking about how well things are going in Iraq, doesn't it?
