I think it's about as important as "You say potato, I say potatoe." Remember that? Dan Quayle was ridiculed relentlessly for it. George Bush was ridiculed for choking on a cracker or something, Gerald Ford for stumbling.

Let's put it this way. Kerry is predisposed to be dislikeable, starting when he shot off his mouth in 1972. I believe he is completely unsuited to be a Senator, let alone President, and this is based not on his terrible jokes but on his penchant for saying things that make no sense.

For example, remember when he was talking about "going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and children, you know, women, breaking sort of the customs of the — of — of — of — historical customs, religious customs, whether you like it or not. Iraqis should be doing that." He not only accused American soldiers of terrorizing children, he said Iraqis should be doing that [i.e. terrorizing children, etc.]

We simply cannot afford to have a man who cannot hold his tongue in high office like that.

I appreciate your willingness to debate issues in a civilized manner.
